No other nursery’s play and exercise facilities are comparable to those at AdventureLand. Our play frames are magnificent state of the art play structures designed for safety, challenge and great exercise, while having fun! These facilities are available at various times exclusively to the AdventureLand Day Nursery. All areas of AdventureLand’s play centre are available under the supervision of the nursery staff.
We have created aesthetically pleasant surroundings which are safe and cheerful. The separate areas of play provide for different age groups with some overlap depending on ability. Each level ensures that children are able to pursue a variety of physical activities such as running, jumping, crawling, climbing, balancing, squeezing, rolling and thinking.
A variety of challenges are laid out on multi levels incorporating the child’s need to develop physical strength, co-ordination and agility. The 3 tier toddler zone was updated when the day nursery opened to make it easily one of the best dedicated toddler zones in the UK, finally we also offer a superb indoor sports zone.
Leading to our outdoor area we have large patio doors which fold back to create an open space in which the children can move freely indoors and out. Our outdoor garden has a very natural approach with our log beeches, log table and stools. We also have mud and sand pits, a vegetable patch and rockery.
We provide the children with lots of physical play experiences with our slide, climbing frame, bikes and balls, and they explore the environment around them by engaging with bark, gravel, planting and making mud pies in our mud kitchen.
We have staff who are trained in special educational needs.
What is 'Local Offer?'
Schools and nurseries in Walsall have a commitment through their ‘Local Offer’ to meet the needs of the children in their care with Special educational needs and are supported by the local authority to ensure all children make the best possible progress.
At Adventureland Day Nursery we aim to support all children with special educational needs to in making progress in the Early Years Foundation stage. We have staff who are trained in special educational needs (Special Educational Needs Coordinator -SENCO), who coordinate the team to ensure children with additional needs at our setting are provided with specialised equipment, staff training and other requirements to allow each child to learn and develop whilst attending our setting.
The nursery SENCO along with the child’s key person will discuss with the parents/carers the support we will offer and how this will be done. The SENCO team is also supported by outside agencies and professionals to access advice, support and guidance.
