Our Children

Our nursery is thoughtfully designed to support children’s learning and development through play, exploration, and meaningful interactions — both indoors and outdoors.

3 Months to 2 Years - The Ladybird Room

From just 3 months old, our little ones begin their journey through the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

In a calm and naturally stimulating environment, babies are encouraged to explore through sensory-rich experiences and messy play — from squishing textures to joyful water splashes.

Every moment is a learning opportunity, gently guided by our caring team.

Our room is designed for safe movement and discovery. With soft flooring and low-level furniture, babies can crawl, pull themselves up, and take those early wobbly steps — all at their own pace and under close supervision.

We focus on the three prime areas of the EYFS at this stage:

  • Personal, Social and Emotional Development – forming secure attachments and building confidence

  • Physical Development – developing movement and coordination through crawling, grasping, and reaching

  • Communication and Language – through songs, stories, and responsive interactions

In our home-from-home environment, every child is seen, celebrated, and supported to flourish in their own way. With encouragement to explore, interact, and play freely on the floor, your child’s development unfolds beautifully, step by step.

2 to 3 Year Olds - The Butterfly Room

As children turn two, their world opens up — and so does their learning. Our toddler room is a vibrant, welcoming space where curiosity is encouraged, independence blossoms, and the foundations of learning are gently nurtured through the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

At this stage, we continue to focus on the three prime areas of development:

  • Personal, Social & Emotional Development – learning to share, build friendships, and express feelings

  • Physical Development – refining movement through climbing, running, and creative play

  • Communication and Language – expanding vocabulary through songs, stories, and everyday conversations

Our toddlers enjoy:

  • Messy, hands-on play that invites exploration and creativity

  • Language-rich interactions with staff who model and support growing communication

  • Opportunities for independence, like choosing their own play and helping with simple tasks

  • Small group play that nurtures social confidence and cooperation

In this safe, home-from-home setting, every child is supported as a unique individual. With gentle guidance, they learn through play — building the skills and confidence that

prepare them for their next stage of adventure.

3 Year Olds - The Dragonfly Room

Our 3’s Room is a welcoming space for children who are ready to take their next step in independence. It’s a flexible transition between the toddler stage and preschool, where children continue to learn through play while developing key social, physical, and communication skills.

Here, we build on the prime areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with a focus on:

  • Growing confidence in expressing thoughts, feelings, and ideas

  • Exploring friendships through small group play and gentle routines

  • Becoming more independent, with support for toileting, dressing, and decision- making

Children may move into this room at different times based on their stage of development — not just their age. Whether they’re with us for a few months or longer, we ensure every child feels safe, supported, and ready for their next adventure.

Our nurturing environment and consistent team help children grow at their own pace, giving them time to build the confidence they’ll need before joining our Preschool Room.

The Preschool Room

Our Preschool Room is the final chapter in your child’s nursery journey — a full year dedicated to nurturing confidence, curiosity, and school readiness in a caring and familiar environment.

Here, children build strong foundations for their next step, guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and led by passionate staff who know each child as an individual.

We focus on:

  • Independence and resilience – encouraging self-care, decision-making, and problem-solving

  • Social confidence – working together in groups, taking turns, and developing lasting friendships

  • Communication and early literacy – through daily phonics sessions, storytelling, and rich conversations

As part of our well-rounded approach, children also enjoy:

  • Creative expression through art, music, and role play

  • Cultural awareness with fun and engaging French sessions

  • Structured learning moments to support the transition to Reception

Our Preschool Room gives children the gift of consistency — a full 12 months with their peers and key staff. This stability helps them feel secure, valued, and truly ready to embrace the adventure of starting school.

PARENT S.W.

My daughter has attended the nursery since she was 1 and a half years old and is now three. The staff have been fantastic with her and she is now a very confident, clever, polite little girl. They have helped her to achieve this and I am very grateful. Would recommend to any parent.”
