Indoor & Outdoor Play

Our nursery provides a wide range of environments and activities for your children to explore, learn from and enjoy

Kidslingo

Kidslingo is a leading, multi award-winning children’s language franchise that is gold-accredited by the Children’s Activities Association. Their aim is simple – to inspire young children from birth to age 11 years to love languages.

Kidslingo use songs, movement, games, actions, stories and let’s pretend activities accompanied by parachutes, coloured scarves, musical instruments and toys to bring language learning to life. Their fun and interactive topics include superheroes, farm animals, people who help us, circus performers and many more.

Learning a language is hugely beneficial in early years with benefits ranging from:

  • increased cognitive development

  • enhanced social skills

  • a greater depth of understanding of the wider world

  • improvements in English language development

Sport 4 Kids

With Sports 4 Kids the children will learn through imaginative exercise, using storytelling and play to inspire fitness, health and physical development.

Each 6-week PE plan includes content that promotes key learning for Early Years Framework outcomes.

They offer sport specific classes that build children’s skills, including dance, football, rugby, tennis and yoga. Inspiring children to love exercise, movement and fitness.  Our story-based classes immerse children in the exciting world of imagination, with stories including Jack and the Beanstalk and Peppa Pig!

Play Frames

All of children have access to the play frames in Adventureland. They provide brilliant risk-and-challenge play and allow the children to use all parts of their bodies to explore. The play frames help the children to build confidence in what they can do and allow them to develop skills that they may not get the chance to normally.

The children access the play frame every day and do this supervised by the practitioners. The children are not permitted onto the play frames when the public have access.

Sensory Room

Our sensory room provides calm and relaxation when children might need it. We have interactive items and sensory equipment for all the children to access. This is a perfect area for children with any additional needs to spend some time exploring. Our sensory room can also be used as a disco room providing the music and the lights for a good boogie.

Indoor Football Arena

Our newest feature at AdventureLand Day Nursery is the use of our purpose built Football pitch. The arena has been fitted with artificial grass and is fully netted and enclosed.

There is a 4ft goal each end and provides plenty of room for all the children to run and play football. It gives plenty of opportunity to expel some energy regardless of the weather. A fantastic addition.

Nursery Garden

Our Nursery Garden is the perfect outdoor space for all the children to explore. The garden provides plenty of space to run, jump, ride bikes, scooters and explore our climbing equipment.

We love to bring the indoors out and will bring out activities and eat our meals outside in the fresh air. We like to get outside as often as possible and enjoy nature. We also have a separate garden for babies, which is much more suited to their needs. The babies can still see and engage with the older children and the practitioners making this a wonderful learning opportunity.

Local Offer:
Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Schools and nurseries in Walsall have a commitment through their ‘Local Offer’ to meet the needs of the children in their care with Special educational needs and are supported by the local authority to ensure all children make the best possible progress.

At Adventureland Day Nursery we aim to support all children with special educational needs to in making progress in the Early Years Foundation stage. We have staff who are trained in special educational needs (Special Educational Needs Coordinator -SENCO), who coordinate the team to ensure children with additional needs at our setting are provided with specialised equipment, staff training and other requirements to allow each child to learn and develop whilst attending our setting.

The nursery SENCO along with the child’s key person will discuss with the parents/carers the support we will offer and how this will be done. The SENCO team is also supported by outside agencies and professionals to access advice, support and guidance.
